Kurtis Daniel Simoneau, 29, of Louin, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-South and the burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Louin, MS.  Rev. Kurt graduated Sylva-Bay Academy in 2008 and went on to East Central Community College in which he graduated in 2010 and also 2015 (ASN). He earned his Bachelors of Science at MUW in 2013 and earned his Bachelors of Nursing at UMMC in 2016.  Kurt was currently employed at Andersons Regional Medical Center as a RN in the ICU.

While in college Kurt met the love of his life, Kendall. They were married in 2017.  Along with planning a wedding, they built their home together piece by piece with the help of all of their family.

He loved spending time with his family and his church family at Antioch Baptist, in which he was a very active member.  Kurt was an avid MSU football fan and enjoyed attending the football games.  He enjoyed ringing his cowbell so much Kurt and Kendall even rang them at their wedding reception (MSU won the game!).

Kurt will be remembered for his big heart, caring and loving personality, hard work ethic, and his love for God.

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Majorie Haden.

Survivors include wife, Kendall Simoneau and their great dane, Hans; parents, Danny and Marla Simoneau, brother, Chad Simoneau (Caitlyn); grandparents: Glenn Haden, Susie and Curtis Blackburn, Pat Wallace, Shirley Robertson, Sandra Scarbrough; mother-in-law Cheri Fulgham (Kenny); father-in-law, Chuck Robertson (Michele), sister-in-laws, Tara Blair (Doug) and Paige Watson; brother-in-law, Cooper Robertson (Jeuel); step brother-in-law, John Fulgham (Heather); uncles: Donald Haden (Ruby), David Simoneau (Sonya), Allen Simoneau (Barbara); aunts: Sarah Addy (Kent) and Susan Braswell (Glen) and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be Danny Simoneau, Chad Simoneau, Jared Mullins, Paul Sewell, Chuck Robertson, Richard Ferguson, JC Williamson, Ryan Loper, and Dylan Driskill.

Honorary pallbearers are Perry Beau Phillips, Windsel Phillips, Cooper Robertson, Kenny Fulgham, David Simoneau, and Doug Blair.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Antioch Baptist Church in Louin, MS.
