Kathryn Geneva Gressett Murphey Dorrough, 82, of Newton, MS died Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the presence of family at home. She was born Tuesday, November 14, 1933 in Chunky, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Newton United Methodist. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Newton United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow in Newton County Memorial Garden. Rev. Gary Howse and Rev. Mrs. Dorrough enjoyed gardening, socializing with her friends, fishing, Ruth Circle, Priscilla Stitchers, and all church events. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Parents Clint and Ludie Gressett; Husbands - James Pettus (Pecky) Murphey and Malcom Dorrough; Brothers Dennis Gressett and Billy Gressett.

Survivors include her Daughters, Kay Watts (Al), Pat Dilley (Randy), Judy Brand (John Nellums), Joy Sennett (Ron); Son - Sam Dorrough (Lisa), Sisters - Ruth Walker, Inez Sims, Bonnie Simmons, Betty Crane (Tom); Brothers - Victor Gressett and Larry Gressett (Minnie).
Grandchildren: Shelley Thies (Brian), Daniel Dilley (Lindsey), Jonathan Watts, Jim Dilley (Jennifer), Jay Brand, Jess Dilley (Dru), Clinton Sennett, Hallie Sennett; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
