Johnny Allen Collins, 71, of Fellowship Community, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, February 8, 2019, at Anderson's Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, October 16, 1947 in Neshoba County.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow in New Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Robert Rowzee and Dr. John Cash will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
Johnny was an outstanding Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend and loved his two dogs, Spanky and Junior. He loved to rabbit hunt and raise watermelons to give away. He will be greatly missed by his community and the Church Family that he loved. To know him was to love him, he made this world a better place. Thanks for all the memories and nicknames that you would affectionately hang on the ones you loved. You will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. We love you.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W. E. and Annie Mary Collins; a brother, Ray Collins; a grandson, Troy Collins.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Collins; sons, Tim Collins (Tanya) and John Collins (Caycie); step-daughter, Brandy Triplett (Philip); step-son, Chris Stamper (Anitrel); two brothers, Ronald Collins (Sandra) and Donald Collins (Mary); a sister-in-law, Pam Collins; twenty grandchildren, Hunter Collins, Nick Collins, Tanner Collins, Drew Collins, Eli Collins, Sean Collins, Kipp Collins, Kohl Collins, Kari Rose Collins, Gage Wendt, Hudson Wendt, Michael Aycox, Lucas Aycox (Hannah), Christian Aycox, Nicolas Triplett, Lila Triplett, Parker Triplett, Chloe Triplett, Zack Bazor, and Austin Stamper.
Pallbearers will be George Ward, James Earl "Eagle" Smith, Randy Loper, James Smith, David Boulton, and Bill Matthews.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Wayne Lindley.
