Joe Ray Bethany, 87, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his residence in Lawrence, MS 39336. He was born August 20, 1928 in Florence, MS.
Graveside Services for Joe Ray Bethany will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Newton County Memorial Garden in Newton, MS . Burial will be at the Newton County Memorial Garden in Newton, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - North in charge of arrangements. Rev. Ron Gilstrap will officiate.
He is preceded in death by parents, George Bunyard Bethany and Lola Jane Bethany, brothers, James, Farrell, Price, G.B. and Max Bethany.
He is survived by wife, Jeanette Bethany of Lawrence, MS, daughters,JoElyn Miller (Axton) of Florence, Gaye Smith (Fent) of Colorado Springs, CO, son, George Ray Bethany (Wanda) of Lawrence, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, sister, Elizabeth Mahaffey of Ridgeland.
Pallbearers will be: Isaac Miller, Lee Eady, Tanner Clanton, Steven Miller, Wayne Clanton and Barry Clanton,
Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton,
