Jimmy Blackburn, age 72, passed away on May 1, 2018 at his home.

Jimmy was born in Newton, MS to Pat Blackburn and Thelma Blackburn Holladay . Jimmy married Carol Blackburn of Newton on June 1, 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Blackburn; mother, Thelma Blackburn Holladay ; son, Jim Blackburn (Regina); granddaughters, Amanda Blackburn and Rebecca Blackburn; brothers, Curtis Blackburn (Susie) and Larry Blackburn (Jo); sister-in-laws, Janie Blackburn and Becky Blackburn, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pat Blackburn, brothers, Bobby Blackburn and Harold Blackburn.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-  North.

Services for Jimmy will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-  North with Dr. Charles Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Conehatta Methodist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM in Conehatta , Mississippi.
