Jerry Raymond Buckley, 65, of Hickory, MS died Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was born Thursday, July 13, 1950.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Hickory, MS. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Bro. Jerry Gressett and Bro. Mr. Buckley was a lifelong resident of Newton County. He was an adament hunter who was especially proud of his beagles. He also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and taught many young people to appreciate his passion.

He is preceded in death by his Wife - Patsy Buckley; Parents Darling and Edna Johnson Buckley; Brother - Billy Buckley, Nephews - Ricky Neese, and Gary Buckley; Brother-in-law - Ronnie Hudnall

Survivors include his Son - John Robert Buckley (Carrie), Grandchildren: Jeremy Buckley, Hope Buckley, T.J. White, Kayla Harrison, Shelby White; Sisters - Edna Neese, Frances Butler, Dot Hudnall; Brother - Jody Buckley, Special Friend - Carol Robbins and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Fred Brown, Kenny Ray Neese, Steve Buckley, Terry Buckley, T.J. White, and Jeremy Buckley

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert McCaskill, Tom Sims, Scott Buckley, Mike Scitz, Jason Neese, Michael Butler, John K. Buckley, and the members of the Land Owners Hunting Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
