Jenell "Nell" McBride Williams, 87 of Newton, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Mississippi Care Center in Raleigh, Mississippi. She was born on Friday, August 7, 1936, in Kemper County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home – South, 100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Newton County Funeral Home – South. The burial will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi. Bro. Steve Robinson and Bro. Ryan Cozart will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200
Ms. Nell was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Newton, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard, shopping, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband the father of her children, Bill McBride and her second husband, Norman Williams; father, Jim Burton; mother, Era Inez Darnell Burton; and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her two daughters, Rhonda Pace (Barry) of Conehatta, MS and Anita Gibbs (Scott); three grandchildren, Meagan Kilpatrick (Darby) of Conehatta, MS, Timothy Litchfield (Veronica) of Forest, MS and Sunny Pace of Conehatta, MS; eight great-grandchildren, Gage Litchfield of Meridian, MS, Hunter Massey of Conehatta, MS, Tilinka Kilpatrick of Conehatta, MS, Maia Litchfield of Meridian, MS, Jensen Kilpatrick of Conehatta, MS, Eason Litchfield of Meridian, MS, Euriah Litchfield of Forest, MS and Madlyn Litchfiled of Forest, MS; and a host of other family and members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Barry Pace, Darby Kilpatrick, Scott Gibbs, Hunter Massey, Timothy Litchfield, and Steve Robinson.
