Newton, MS - Services for Jeanette "Ninnie" Smith will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow at Newton County Memorial Garden in Newton.
Mrs. Smith, 79, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born Wednesday, August 12, 1936 in Philadelphia, MS.
Preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Smith; parents,
John Terry and Irene Stevens; brother, Willard Mitchell Stevens.
Survived by her children, Janice Miller (David), Lynn Strickland (Strick), Kevin Smith (Michelle), Phyliss Mills (Bill); sister-in-laws, Margene Smith and Sandra Pippin.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Strickland, Chris Strickland, Bill Mills, Jace Dennis, T.J. McKelvain, Lance Garvin.
Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton.
