James Curtis Wheeler, 76, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home South in Newton MS.

Burial will be in the Pine Ridge Cemetery at Lawrence, MS

He had a very special friend Linda Warren for the last six years. They enjoyed going to singings, both Gospel and Bluegrass. He also enjoyed being with his friends and his family.

Survivors include: Two sons: James Kent Wheeler (Rosie), Newton, NMS and Mark Anthony Wheeler (Kim) Decatur, MS.
Three daughters: Deborah Lynne Wheeler Mead, Newton, MS, Rebekah Wheeler Chesney (Jay) Newton, MS, Renee Wheeler, Biloxi, MS.
Grandchildren: Drew Wheeler, Ashley Mead, Michael and Daniel Chesney.
Great-grandchildren: Rhyan Stewart and Gabriel Parsons.
One brother: Kenneth Wheeler

Pallbearers: Steve Hedrick, David Everett, Ryan Massey, Kent Mayes, James Perritt, and Jay Chesney.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
