James E. Vance, 70, of Newton, MS passed away on August 19, 2014 at J.G Alexander Nursing Center in Union, MS. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, 601-635-3200.

Mr. Vance was survived by: daughters: Jeannie Hedrick (Eddie) and Gail Federick (David); one brother: Charles Vance (Shirley); mother-in-law: Helen Duke and two grandchildren: Bruce Hedrick and Allison Federick.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Duke Vance.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M at Newton County Funeral Home North in Newton, MS.
Funeral Services will be Friday August 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Frank Harmon, Rev. Brain Rushing and
Rev. Robbie Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Gardens of Newton, MS.

Pallbearers will be Charles Kelly, Steven Kelly, Brian Kelly, Jeff Cumberland, Jonathan Federick and  Charles Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Newton Fire Department.
