"Tudlum" Fox
August 13, 1942 – February 14, 2025
James Charles "Tudlum" Fox, 82, of Chunky, passed away peacefully in his home on February 14th, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Services will be held at Providence Missionary Baptist Church on February 15th, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m -12 p.m. Services will immediately follow the visitation. Burial will follow at Providence Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Josh Lang will be officiating the service and Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Tudlum was born on August 13th, 1942, to James Hoyt and Ava Leverne Fox in Starkville, MS. He was known for having a fun-loving spirit, and he never met a stranger. He always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren, and he never missed out on the opportunity to watch them do what they love. He never failed to aggravate his loved ones and put a smile on everyone's face while doing it. He was also known as "Uncle Toot Toot" by his nieces and nephews. They loved him with all their heart. He was an avid fox hunter, loved sharing stories with his hunting buddies, and taking care of his "beloved" dogs. He loved Nascar racing, football, baseball, softball, horse racing, and watching westerns. Tudlum will truly be missed by so many loved ones.
The most important day of his life was November 27, 2022, when he got baptized and became a part of the family of his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa of 44 years; daughter, Charlene Dandridge (Peanut); son, Chad (Barbara Ann); son, Mike (Heather); and son, Dewayne; grandchildren, Raylie, Trevor, and Tatum Dandridge and Abby and Madden Fox; sisters, Marlene Hester and Paulette Parker; brother, Paul Fox and 15 nieces and nephews; 29 great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Hoyt Fox; mother, Ava Lavern Fox; and sister, Faye Allen.
Pallbearers are Brooks Breland, Scott Mathews, Trey Turner, Randy Turner, Lance Pierce, Tracy Lee; Honorary Pallbearers are Steven Lee, Ronnie Joe Parker, Junior Turner, Johnny Fox, and Kenny McGowin.
The family would like to give a special thanks to AccentCare Home Health and their caregivers for their compassion and help during his time of sickness.
