James (Jim) Leon Snelgrove,70, of Meridian died on February 23,2025, at Oschners Hospital in Meridian, MS.
Jim was born on August 26, 1954, in Brandon, MS
He graduated from Hickory High School in 1972, where he played the drums for the High School band. Jim drove trucks most of his life, and was currently employed with MMC Materials, Inc in Meridian before his passing.
Jim was a wonderful musician and songwriter. He had a passion for music
His musician name was "Jimmy Sixstring".
He is proceeded in death by his father, James Snelgrove; mother, Dorothy V. Carpenter; and brother, Johnny "Red" Wilson
He is survived by his one son, Zane Snelgrove of Gulfport, MS; one brother, Tom Pearson (Elizabeth) of Chunky, MS; four grandchildren, Zachari, Zeke, Zayden and Zarialina Snelgrove of Gulfport, MS; four great-grandchildren, Zailyn, Zyla, Zander, and Adaline Snelgrove of Gulfport, MS; one nephew, Tommy (Amanda) Pearson of Titusville, FL; one niece- Sarah Pearson of Hickory, MS; and three great-nephews, Riley and Noah Pearson and Maddox Dupont.
