James Elliot Roberts, Sr., 73, of Newton, MS died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born Wednesday, August 30, 1944 in New Orleans, LA.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Bro. Ben Laird will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
Mr. Roberts served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed woodworking and camping.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Ernest and Eula Roberts; Sister - Barbara Newman; and Granddaughter - Olivia Roberts.
Survivors include his Wife - Beverly Roberts, Sons - James Roberts, Jr., Timothy Roberts, David Roberts; Daughter - Melissa Stampley; 5 sisters, 1 brother, and 6 granchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Chaney, David Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, Matthew Stampley, and Randy Butts.
