Jack Michael Null, Jr.
May 29, 1930 - June 6, 2025

The family of Jack Null, Jr. is saddened to announce his passing on June 6, 2025.  After a brief illness, Jack passed away quietly in Jackson MS.  He was 95.

Jack was born on May 29, 1930 to Jack Null Sr. and Beatrice Boyd in Council Hill, OK.  The family moved to Porterville, CA  where Jack attended elementary school and Porterville Union High School.  Jack enlisted in the USMC at 16, served two years and earned a GED.

In 1949, Jack married Kathy Bariola and they had two children, Shelley Prestage and David Null.  After 17 years, Jack and Kathy divorced.  In 1969 Jack married Margrett Weldon and they had a daughter, Shani Brackeen.

Jack completed his electrician apprenticeship and worked as a journeyman, foreman, and contractor for over 40 years.  In 2009, Jack and Margrett moved to Meridian, Mississippi.  He joined the local chapter of the Sons of the Confederacy where he enjoyed learning about the history of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans.

Jack was predeceased by his sisters, Wanda Woods and Mary Jackson and great-grandson, Landon Null.  He is survived by his wife, Margrett, daughters Shelley Prestage (Jeffery) and Shani Brackeen (Bill), son David Null (Helen), grandchildren Karesa Prestage, Joshua Null, Darci Null-Fitzpatrick, Nina Hay, and Luke Hay, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Graveside service will be held at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 248 Honor Circle, Newton, MS on June 11, 2025 at 12 pm.

We praise God for all the years we had with our father and grandfather, Jack Michael Null, Jr.
