Imogene King, 77 of Forest, MS passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 at Ochsner Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS. She was born Sunday, October 14, 1945.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South (100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, MS) with funeral services with funeral services immediately following.  Bro.  Justin Chaney will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements (601)635-3200.
Mrs. Imogene will be remembered for her love of fishing and watching westerns.  She along with her husband owned and operated a grocery store for many years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by his father, Odie Earl Ainsworth;  mother, Ina Bee Boykin Ainsworth;  brother, David Ainsworth;  and sister, Obie Faye Westbrook.

Survivors include her son, Dale  King (Rebecca);  her caregiver, Christina Weeks; brothers, Grady Wayne Ainsworth, Rex Allen Ainsworth, Ray Bassett and Otis Earl Ainsworth;  5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
