Georgia Guelda Council Horne, 100, of Newton, MS died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home in Newton, MS. She was born Friday, November 9, 1917 in Puryear, TN.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Newton County Memorial Garden Cemetery in Newton, MS. Bro. Charles Douglas will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601)635-3200
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordan and Mary Jobe Council of Paris, TN and husband, Dr. Charles Horne, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Ann Melton (Ronnie), Mobile, AL; daughter, Gwelda Sue Hardee (Buddy), Mountain Rest, SC; son, CDR U.S. Navy Retired Charles Horne, Jr. (Brenda), Fort Mill, SC; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association and Newton Presbyterian Church.
