Grover L. Richardson

Decatur, MS - Services for Grover L. Richardson will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow at Conehatta Methodist Cemetery with Newton County Funeral Home - South in charge of arrangements. Rev. David Lane and Bro. Daniel Richardson will officiate.

Mr. Richardson, 75, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.
He was born Sunday, May 26, 1940 in Newton, MS.

Mr. Richardson was a lifelong resident of Newton County. He served in the United States Army serving in Korea. He retired from La-Z-Boy in 2004. He enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Richardson was a member of the Newton Protestant Methodist Church and was also a Mason. He loved his family and will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Allen and Mary Frances Richardson and Brother Charles Richardson.

Survived by his Wife of 48 1/2 years, Carolyn Richardson, Sons - James (Marie) Richardson, Scott (Gina) Richardson; Brothers Joseph Richardson, Douglas Richardson; Sisters, Doris Brewer, Louise Hitt, Nancy Russell, Carol Stokes, Grandchildren: Lee (Trisha) Richardson, Yvette (Timmy) Munn and Tyler Richardson; also Five Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Cliff Richardson, Robby Richardson, Kevin Brewer, Scotty Stokes, Jimmy Lee Hitt and Zack Emmons.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton.
