Gloria Bell Yelverton, 87, of Newton, Mississippi, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Bee Hive of Newton. She was born Friday, July 1, 1932 in Bassfield, Mississippi.

Private Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Newton County Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Vincent will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Yelverton, Sr.; her parents, Arthur and Nancy Broome; her brothers, R.J. Broome, J.L. Broome, E.B. Broome, Arthur Broome, and Wesley Broome.

Survivors include her children, James E. Yelverton, Jr. (Becky), Marshall A. Yelverton (Cindy), Joseph A. "Joey" Yelverton, and Melinda Jane Williams; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Shelly Broome (Maxie).

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
