Floyd Glen Parker, 90, of Lawrence, MS died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. He was born Sunday, February 6, 1927 in Newton, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-North in Newton with funeral services to follow in the chapel. Burial will follow in Conehatta Methodist Cemetery in Conehatta. Bro. Luke Way will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

Mr. Parker served in the Korean War. He was an active member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and resided in the Lawrence Community all of his life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a friend to all and will certainly be missed.

He is preceded in death by Wife - Faye Parker; Parents- Floyd and Cordie Parker; Daughter-Glenda Sue Parker; Grandson-Kevin Dennis; and 7 siblings.

Survivors include Daughter - Donna Ragland and her husband Bro. Mike, Son - Jamie Parker and his wife Angela; Grandchildren: Stacy Billings, Dylan Parker, Shelby Parker, Austin Parker, Micah Parker; Great-grandchildren: Lacy Billings; Avry Billings, Presly Billings and Rily Billings.

Pallbearers will be Mike Parker, Bubba Parker, Dickey Blackburn, Ronnie Adcock, Wayne Dennis and Ricky Rodenbaugh.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Mayes, Mike Blackburn, Kenny Blackburn and Richard Blackburn.
