Rose Hill, MS - Services for George Edward Sims will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM from Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS . Burial will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rose Hill, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - South in charge of arrangements. Bro. Wayne Taylor and Bro. Mike Sims will officiate.

Mr. Sims, 45, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at home. He was born Monday, June 29, 1970 in Meridian, MS.

He will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, and camping. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

He is predeceased by his: Mother - Ada Punchard Sims and Sister - Angie Spears.

He is survived by his:
Wife - Melissa Rowell Sims, Rose Hill, MS; Son - Christopher A. Sims (Cara), Rose Hill, MS; Daughter - Faith M. Sims, Rose Hill, MS; Father - George E. Sims, Rose Hill, MS Brothers - Mike Sims (Becky), DeKalb and Ray Sims, Rose Hill, MS; Grand Children - Addison Germany and Bristol Germany, Rose Hill, MS, a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Randy Loper, Jackie Boulton, Jerry Lewis, Mike Alexander, Michael Alexander and Ethan Alexander. Honorary Pallbearers: Daniel Foreman and Logan Garner.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton.
