George Leon Mason's Obituary
George Leon Mason, 88 of Newton, MS, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at MS State Veteran's Home in Kosciusko, MS.
Graveside services will be held at: 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church in Newton, MS. Visitation will be held the same day from 10:00-12:00 at Newton County Funeral Home North.
Mr. Mason was a World War II Naval Veteran. He taught at East Central Community College for 30 plus years. He had a genuine love for the Lord and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, wood working, and studying his family genealogy.
He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Preceded in death by his wife Zelle Craven Mason and a daughter Georgia Clare Mason.
He is survived by: Daughter Marcia and Randy Garner and two grandsons, George Mason Garner and Neil Hamilton Garner.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Mississippi Baptist Children's Village, Gideon's International or Footprints Adult Day Services.
