George K. Darsey, 64 of Hickory, MS, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL .

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Antioch Christian Church South of Hickory, MS, officiated by Dr. John Cash.

Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Hickory, MS.

Newton County Funeral Home South, 100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.

Mr. Darsey's pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He loved his church and church family.

Preceded in death by:  Parents: George U. Darsey, Jr. and Carol Cadle Darsey.

Survivors Include: Wife: Barbrea S. Darsey, Hickory, MS Daughter: Lori Darsey Hollingsworth (Jamie), Newton, MS Son: Kyle Darsey, Newton, MS Grandchildren: Lee, Belle, and Lilly Hollingsworth; Grayson, Brennen and Jackson Darsey. Sister: Gail Nelson (Joe). Brother: Gary Darsey (Renee).

Pallbearers: Kris Hollingsworth, Ben Kelly, Jeremy Williams, Jeremy Nelson, Kerry Darsey and Steven Kelly . Honorary Pallbearers: Spencer and Seth Cash, Luke Morace,  and Elisha Evans.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to:  Antioch Christian Church.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Newton County South.
