Frances Jane Freeman Hollingsworth, 81, of Newton, MS died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her home after a brief battle with cancer. She was born Friday, October 18, 1935 in Newton County, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton, MS. Burial will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, MS. Bro. Ryan Reed and Bro. Scott Vaughn will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

Ms. Frances was a dedicated member of Midway Baptist Church in which she served as Treasurer for many years. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, and crocheting. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by Parents - Jessie and Annie Lee Freeman.

Survivors include her Daughter - Cathy McDonald (Mark), Daughter - Charlotte McCullough, Sister - Joyce Nance (Jerry), Brother - Bill Freeman (Jackie), Brother - Johnny Freeman (Sarah), Grandchildren- Josh McDonald (Kristin), Tiffany Boyd (Daniel), Gwen McCullough and Jessica Powers (Kevin), and 11 great-granchildren.

Pallbearers will be Josh McDonald, Daniel Boyd, Richard Nance, Jimmy Coghlan, Andy Milling, and Kenny Harris.
