Funeral services for Frances E. Harris will be held 2 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Newton County Funeral Home South Chapel with Dr David Rives officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris, 71 of Meridian, MS, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at R P White Nursing Facility in Meridian, MS. She loved needle point , crocheting, cooking, attending auctions and she also loved her work and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William Earl and Nora Frances Mendenhall Miller; her sister: Edith Jones of MO; her brothers: Richard Miller of Bitzburg, Germany; Robert Miller of MO; and Eugene Miller of IA;

Survivors Include: her husband: Jack Harris, Newton, MS; her daughter:Faye Harris Dean & husband Joey, Little Rock, MS; her sons: Jack Harris, Jr & wife Connie, Meridian, MS; and James Isaac Harris, Newton, MS; her brothers: William Miller, WI; Henry Earl Miller, CA; James Miller, IA; Charles Miller, MO
Fred Miller, OR; her sister: Mary Downing, IA; her grandchildren: Lindsay Atkins, Ashley Walker, Megan Harris, Stephen Harris, Hope Harris, Judd Easom, Donna Strickland, & Christopher Harris; and her 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews;

Pallbearers will be: Luke Atkins,Tony Adams, Paul Edwards, Scott Sibley, Jeff Sibley, Benny Sibley, and Phillip Dean.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at Newton County South.
