Floye Louise McCrory Tillman was born on December 31, 1928 to Julia Strebeck and Floyd McCrory. She passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Poplar Springs Nursing Home in Meridian, MS at the age of 91.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Bro. Ken Owen will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 683-2152

She is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Tillman, Sr., her parents, an infant brother, and sister, Martha Ann McCrory; half-brother, Ben W. McCrory; half-sister, Dorothy Weir; niece, Bertha Williams; nephews, Bennie McCrory and Dr. Henry McCrory.

She is survived by her sons, John L. Tillman, Jr. (Kathryn) of Palm Coast, FL and Kenneth Clarence Tillman (Kathy) of Meridian, MS; step granddaughter, Heather Burkes (Jason) and step grandson, Eric Harrison (Pam); four step great-grandchildren, Lauryn and Zoey Waddell and Jade and Jessica Harrison; nephews, Floyd McCrory and Ronnie McCrory; nieces, Nila Hendry and Sue James, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She retired after working 43 years in health information in MS, LA, and ARK.
