Felton Purvis, 78 of Whitfield, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Jaquith Nursing Home in Whitfield, Mississippi. He was born on Wednesday, June 26, 1946, in Forest, Mississippi.

A private burial will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillsboro Methodist Church Cemetery in Hillsboro, Mississippi. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lois Smith; long time care givers, Jack and Mary Brogdon; and brother, Teddy Smith.

Survivors include his cousin, Mark Jones and his wife Gale of Forest, MS; and a host of family members.
