Etta Barlow Newman, 81, of Newton, MS died Monday, February 20, 2017 at Bedford Care in Newton, MS. She was born Monday, September 9, 1935 in Delta City, MS.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Garlandville United Methodist Church.
Ms. Newman will be remembered as being a very kind and generous person. She was known for making those around her smile and laugh. She loved her family and will certainly be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her Parents - Burnell and Nell Barlow, Son - Benton Newman and Sister - Rose Summerall.
Survivors include her Son - Butch Newman and his wife Sue; Grandchildren - Dru Newman Holdiness, Ryan Newman, Cole Shimfessel and Huck Newman; Great-Grandchildren - Hunt Holdiness, Hank Holdiness, Audrey Grace Newman and Liza Newman; Brothers - James "Jimmy" Barlow, Jr. and Charles Barlow and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Garlandville United Methodist Church, Attn: Marlene Coker 2528 CR 24 Newton, MS 39345.
