Evelyn Estelle Scoggin Gregory, 88, of Union, MS died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at River Birch Estate in Union, MS. She was born Tuesday, March 20, 1928 in Newton, MS.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home - North. Burial will follow in Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery in Decatur, MS. Bro. Jack Giles and Bro. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin E. Scoggin and Lavada Chaney Scoggin; husbands, Clarence Raymond Gressett and James Jay Gregory; grandchildren, Clint Kennedy; son-in-law, Bill Kennedy; daughter-in-law, Nancy Gressett.

Survivors include her children, Danny C. Gressett (Kathy), Donald Gressett, Betty Kennedy and Johnny Gressett (Rita), 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Gressett, Corey Gressett, Jonathan Fletcher, Jason Griffin, Kenny Measell, Tyler Petty and Ray Gressett.
