Emma Lou Rigdon, 88, of Union, MS died Monday, February 20, 2017 at J. G. Alexander Nursing Home in Union, MS. She was born Friday, February 15, 1929 in Hickory, MS.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hickory. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hickory, MS. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Thomas Laird and Bro. Ben Laird will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601)635-3200
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Rigdon and Pearl Rigdon, brothers, Benny Rigdon and Burlyn Rigdon.
Survivors include her brother, Bobby Rigdon (Nancy); cousin and caregiver, Rava Patterson, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be James Otis Swearington, Bobby Pugh, Larry Crader, Arleigh Allen , Bobby Caldwell, Jerry Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
