Edward G. Watts, 68, of Newton, MS died Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was born Friday, October 29, 1948 in Star, MS.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Newton County Funeral Home- South. Dr. Brian Rushing will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
Mr. Watts served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He loved his family especially the time he spent with his grandchildren. He was a friend to many and will certainly be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Pauline Watts and daughter Amanda Watts.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dot Watts, son, Scott Watts (Chastity), granddaughters - Aubre Watts and Kaelon Watts, grandson Brady Watts, and sister, Mary Jernigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Newton Elevator Fund.
