Services for Edward Leon (Ed) May will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton, MS . Burial will be at the Newton County Memorial Garden in Newton, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - North in charge of arrangements. Rev. Gary Howse will officiate.
Mr. May, 87, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born Thursday, April 26, 1928 in Scott County, MS.
Mr. May was an active member of Newton United Methodist Church. He was a career veteran in U.S.A.F. and U.S. Army. He was a small business owner, a teacher and school transportation manager for the Newton County School System.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Lula Mae May; sisters, Hazel Ruth Grafton, Lucille McDonald, Codile Smith, and Joyce Lassetter; brothers, E.J. May, James May, and Raburn May.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Bobbie Tuggle May; son Keith (Jean) May; daughters, Kim (Mike) Deaton, Krista May Hughes; grandsons Kiel, Scott, Nolen, Taylor, Andy, and Aaron; one great-grandson Asher; sister Dealie Dennis; and brother Buddy May.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Newton United Methodist Church.
