Doris Helen Coker, 92, of Newton, Mississippi, died Wednesday at her home in Newton. She was born Monday, September 12, 1927 in Lawrence, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Newton United Methodist Church in Newton, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Newton United Methodist Church and the burial will follow in Newton Masonic Cemetery. Rev Gary Howse will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Coker; parents, JC and Eva Nance; two sisters, Libba Strickland and Rose Mary Collums; and two brothers, Johnny Nance and Dick Nance, Sr.

Survivors include her two children, Sidney Majure and his wife, Peggy and Nancy Wilcox and her husband, Russell; her four grandchildren, Steve Majure, Amy Sones (Bill), Dr. Sera Cox (Lane), Carrie Tatum (Terry); six Great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Majure, Kaitlyn Majure, Will Sones, Anna Katherine Cox, Helen "Sunny" Cox, Timmy Tatum; three great-great-grandsons Cayden, Cayleb, Carson; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Majure, Timmy Tatum, Dick Nance, Jr., Bailey Nance, Bill Sones, and Lane Cox.

Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Tatum.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Newton United Methodist Church.
