William Donald Overstreet, 76, of Hickory, MS died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his home. He was born Friday, October 18, 1940 in Hickory, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Grace United Baptist Church in Decatur, MS with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Decatur, MS. Bro. Gary Felton, Bro. Mark McDonald and Bro. Jamie Leach will officiate. Donald loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Grace United Baptist Church. He retired from La-Z-Boy after 40 years of employment. His hobbies included antique cars, clocks, wood working, trains and just about anything mechanical. He loved his family and also his church family. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his Parents - Madison and Louise Overstreet; Sister - Shirley Crain and Brother-in-law - Don Crain,

Survivors include his Wife of 53 years Flora Overstreet; Daughter - Sandra Walker (Johnny), Son - Wayne Overstreet (Katie), Grandchildren: Ashley Lane (Nick), Tabitha Walker, Mary Claire Overstreet and Laurel Overstreet; Great Grandson- Bryce Lane; one Brother - Raymond Overstreet (Jane) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Grace United Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideon's International.
