Donald Ray Anderson, 61, of Hickory, Mississippi, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his residence in Hickory, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home- North in Newton, MS.  Funeral Services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Hickory, MS.  Bro. Jack Foster will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

Donald spent most of his life as a truck driver.  He loved his family and friends.  He will be remembered as a kind gentleman and was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Anderson and brother George Myron Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Alice Anderson; children:  Seamus Anderson (Kim), Stephen Anderson (Nikki), Shana Anderson, Dixie Grace Anderson; step-children: Alicia Majure (Toby), Judson M. Gibson, Jr., Selina K. Roberts; brothers:  Johnny Bailey, Skeet Bailey (Hollis), Gerald Wade Anderson, Jack McFee (Jeannie), Ronnie Anderson (Peggy); and sister-in-law, Robin Anderson; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Overton, Jackie Lee McFee, Jr., Matthew Majure, Lucas Majure, Adam Barlow, and James Holiness.

Danny Morgan will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
