Obituary

Funeral services for Don Therrien will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Newton County Funeral Home-North Chapel. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery. Dr. Charles Douglas will officiate.

Donald Dean Therrien, age 60, was born Wednesday, November 15, 1961 in Natick, Massachusetts, and passed away at his residence on Monday, July 18, 2022. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend. Don will be remembered for the love that he had for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a resident of Newton for over thirty years, a welder by profession, and was a "handy man by trade." Serving the in the United States military, he was a proud Army Ranger/ Green Beret. He was a Catholic by faith and a parishioner at St. Ann Catholic Church in Newton. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Therrien and mother, Juliette Fontaine Therrien and grandson, Brody Snow.

Survivors include his sons, Jackson Randall Therrien (Morgan) of Decatur and Joseph Michael Therrien of Florida; his daughter, Christine Marie Therrien of Little Rock; grandson, Jhett Therrien; granddaughters, Ady Laine Therrien and Mikaela Louise Therrien, and his special friend, Robin Lafferty of Massachusetts.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 12:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
