Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Nielsen
(October 16, 1955 – June 4, 2025)

Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Nielsen, aged 69, of Morton, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Born on October 16, 1955, in Forest, Mississippi, Debbie was a cherished member of the Morton United Pentecostal Church and community.

Debbie was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She found joy in listening to music, dancing, cooking out, camping, and target shooting, but her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her siblings, Danny Harwell and his wife Loretta of Pearl, MS, and Cathy Harwell Glaze and her husband Otis Dan of Lena, MS; her daughter, Crystal Nielsen Wilson and her husband Howie; her three granddaughters; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irby Victor, Jr. and Nellie Jean Sessions Harwell, and her brothers, Kenneth Ray Harwell, Larry Michael Harwell, and Ronald Dewayne Harwell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Morton United Pentecostal Church, located at 6222 US-Hwy 80, Morton, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location, with Rev. Nathan Morales officiating and special music provided by Sister Stephanie Morales. Burial will take place at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake, Mississippi. Arrangements are under the care of Newton County Funeral Home - North.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Glaze, Gary Walton, Ray Walton, Presley Burnside, Joel Martin, and Darrell Massey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Otis Dan Glaze.

Debbie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
