Colleen Moore Lindsley Easom, 92, of Newton, MS, passed away on July 1, 2017. She was born on December 10, 1924, to Dolly & Irma Moore of Jackson, MS. She is preceded in death by her husband, W. R. (Billy Ray) Lindsley and brother, Patrick Moore, formerly of Biloxi, MS.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Bobby Easom, of Newton; and sons: W. R. (Buddy) Lindsley, Jr. (Paulette) of Sumrall, MS; Danny Lindsley (Polly) of Newton, MS; and step-sons Bob & John Easom. She will be missed by her 8 grandchildren: Chad Lindsley (Vanessa) of Columbus, MS; Dawn Lindsley Parrow ( ) of Madison, MS; Kelly Lindsley McIntosh (Jon) of Jackson, MS; Michael Lindsley and Shelly Lindsley Ward both of Newton, MS; Jonathan Lindsley of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; Joseph Lindsley of Hernando, MS, and Candace Lindsley Guy of England. She also leaves a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Colleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In her younger days, she was known for her carefree personality and winsome ways. She loved playing bridge and going out with her friends. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Newton.

Visitation will be Monday, July 3, from 9-11:00 am with the funeral service following. Pall bearers are Bob Bridges, William Emmons, Eric Lindsley, Bill Matthews, Mike Strebeck, and Ricky Maske. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Garden in Newton.
