Clinton Coker, 89, of Newton, Mississippi, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at his home. He was born Tuesday, November 5, 1929 in Newton County.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Newton United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM at Newton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery. Bro. Gary Howse will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements. (601) 683-2152

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Coker; parents, Willie and Fannie Coker; brother, Hubert Coker; sister, Frances Wilson.

Survivors include wife, Helen Coker; children, Tracy Coker (Gail) and Wanda Reeves (Jay); grandchildren: Taylor Coker, Tyler Coker, Megan Logan, and Jamie Logan; nephew, Donnie Wilson; niece, Fonda Chlore; step-children, Sidney Majure (Peggy) and Nancy Wilcox (Russ).

Pallbearers will be James Logan, Tyler Coker, Jamie Reeves, Jay Reeves, Jimmy Coker, and Taylor Coker.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Boutwell.
