Cleo Alice Nelson's Obituary
Cleo Alice Nelson, 96 of Newton, MS, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Bedford Care Center in Newton, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home South in Newton, MS with Bro. Larry Laird officiating. The visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
Newton County Funeral Home South at 100 Old Hwy 15 Loop in Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.
She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She loved the LORD and her family was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Nelson, her parents, Virgil and Mittie Pennington, and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors Include one son, Benny Nelson and wife Carol of Newton; one daughter, Janelle Nelson Cox and husband Charnell of Madison; one sister, Betty Hardin; three grandchildren, Joshua Cox, Terry Nelson, and Tawana Clark; six great-grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Hannah, Tyler, Dan, and Ilias, and one great-great-grandchild, Hallie.
Pallbearers: Terry Nelson, Tyler Nelson, Dan Nelson, Colby Ezell, Bobby Clark, and Jacob Clark.
