Obituary

Clarene McDonald Coleman, 88 of Petal, MS, died Saturday,December 28, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, North of Hickory. Bro, Jimmie Gurard and Bro. Winnie McMahon will officiate.

Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 P.M. - 1:50 P.M. on Thursday at the church.

Newton County Funeral Home South is in charge of arrangements.

Clarene Everett McDonald Coleman was born on August 14, 1925, and died on December 28, 2013. A resident of Petal, MS, at the time of her death, Mrs. Coleman was a native of the Berry Community north of Hickory in Newton County, MS. She was a devoted housewife and mother who also had held jobs at Camp Shelby in Forrest County at the end of World War II and was a PBX operator at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS, in the 1960's and early 1970's. In 1954, she and her family moved from Newton County to the small community of Wade in Jackson County, MS, where she and her husband Billy reared their family. In 1971 they retired to Newton County where she lived until his death. She moved to Petal in 1995 to be near her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Cheryl McDonald.

Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents Shelby and Ethel Harris Everett and husbands Ray H. McDonald and Billy M. Coleman, and one brother Billy Shelby Everett.

Survivors include two sons:
Raymond Everett McDonald and wife Cheryl of Petal and
William E. Coleman of Waveland and one daughter: Beverley D. Coleman of Waveland.

She is survived by three grand daughters, their husbands, and children:Tammie and Greg Hinton and son Joseph of Petal; Tonya and Carlis Faler and sons Johnathan and Elliot of Madison; and Talisha and Bud McMahon and sons Cody and Houston of Oak Grove.

Pallbearers will be great- grandsons Cody McMahon, Houston McMahon, Johnathan Faler, and
Elliot Faler; her grandsons Bud McMahon, Carlis Faler, and Greg Hinton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her
nephews: Dennis Everett, Grady Everett, Billy Joe Everett, and
David Everett.
