Christian Shane Allen, age 27, of Decatur, MS, was born August 31, 1998, in Rush Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi, and departed this life April 6, 2026, leaving behind the love of his life, Cecilia Allen, father Christopher Allen, mother Lena Allen, and siblings Natalie and Brandon Allen.
Christian, a 2017 graduate of Newton County High School and 2019 graduate of East Central Community College, worked for 7 years at the Mississippi Department of Transportation as a CAD operator and inspector. He was a faithful husband and life partner, a loyal son and brother, a steadfast friend, and a beloved uncle to both biological and honorary nephews and nieces. He was perpetually but lovingly grumpy (especially being married to a ball of dynamite like Cecilia), but his wife was both the greatest aggravation and love of his life. He had a servant's heart for his wife who he loved to pretend got on his nerves while all the while performing simple, quiet acts of kindness and servitude that were a testament to his enduring love for her.
In this lifetime, Christian acquired quite a few nicknames including Thirst, Bedbug, Fuzz, and Uncle Christian, and he never met a tiny human he didn't immediately get along with and make laugh. He loved spending time with his little besties, and they usually could convince him to do some of the goofiest, silliest things that no one else could.
Growing up, Christian spent the majority of his time with the "original generation" of cousins and earned his nickname "Thirst" – a story for another day though the cousins know the real story.
Some of Christian's other great loves in this life included Alabama football (Roll Tide), hunting and fishing, and aggravating his brother and sister. He was infamous for being able to nap literally anywhere at any given time (especially at holidays) though he would deny it if caught. He would never actually be asleep and was frequently just resting his eyes, of course.
Though he left this earth far too young, the memory of Christian will last a lifetime beyond his years for those who knew him and who will continue to tell the story of Thirst, Fuzz, Bedbug, and Uncle Christian. From coworkers, tiny humans, friends, cousins, and more, his impact has reached far and wide, and his loving grumpiness knew no bounds and discriminated against no one. Forever and always in our hearts, our Christian Shane Allen.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sandra Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Allen; father Christopher Allen; mother Lena Allen; sister Natalie Allen; brother Brandon Allen; maternal grandparents Lester Miles, Jr. and Susan Miles; paternal grandfather Clarence Allen; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers for the services include Austin Pippin, Shelby Withers, Charles Carter, Brady Casey, Jeffrey Pierce, Lester "Bubba" Miles III, Trey Cleveland, and Jacob Cleveland.
Honorary pallbearers include Michael Harville and Anthony Adams.
