Charlotte Ann Gainey Morrow, 78, of Conehatta, MS, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Born on September 16, 1946, in Ringgold Community, Mississippi, Charlotte was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was a graduate of Sebastopol High School in Sebastopol, Mississippi, and dedicated 25 years of service to the Mississippi Department of Transportation before retiring as a secretary. Charlotte was a member of the Conehatta Baptist Church in Conehatta, MS, where she was actively involved in the community.
Charlotte was married to the love of her life for fifty-two years. She enjoyed shopping, playing golf, playing the piano, and most of all, spending time with her loving family. Her warmth and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her one son, John Morrow of Conehatta, MS; two grandchildren, Justin Kevin Morrow and Brittany Nichol Morrow; her one sister, Marsha Comans (Gene); four great-grandchildren, Daniel Husain II, Dalton Cole Husain, Zoe Morrow, and Mackenzie Garrett Monk; and a host of other family members and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall Lee Morrow; her son, Jerry Lee Morrow; her father, Alton Gardner Gainey; her mother, Modena Gainey Harrison Thrash; and her daughter-in-law, Betty Jane Morrow.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Conehatta Baptist Church, 8580 Highway 489, Conehatta, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the same location, with burial in Conehatta Methodist Cemetery in Conehatta, MS. Rev. Shannon Davis will officiate, with special music provided by Chad Morrow and Regina Hoover. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Harold McCrary, Matthew Poole, Joshua Poole, Chad Morrow, Wade Morrow, and Scott Taylor.
