Charles D. Parker Jr., 91 of Lawrence, MS, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Rush Foundation Hosptial in Meridian, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton,MS with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Randy Rich is officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Cemetery.

Mr. Parker was a life-long resident of Lawrence, MS. He was a World War II Veteran and a brick mason for 40 plus years. He enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing, farming, and gardening.
He had a genuine love for his family and will be missed by all that knew him.

Preceded in death by: parents: Charles D Parker Sr. and Madge Weems Parker, wife: Sarah Elizabeth Nelson Parker, son Charles Daniel Parker III and daughter Alice Carol Parker Batton.

Survivors Include: wife Lucille D. Parker, two granddaughters: Tracy E Parker, Jacksonville, FL, Tiffany Binet, Washington D.C., three grandsons: Charles Daniel Parker IV, Phillip Alan Parker, both of Hickory, MS, Shane Batton, Jackson, MS, and great grandchildren: Allyson Rae White-Spunner, Riley Grace Batton, Harrison Michael Binet and Grant Parker Binet.

Pallbearers: Charles Daniel Parker IV, Phillip Alan Parker, Shane Batton, Greg Czarnecki, Anthony Richardson and Curtis Walker.
