Cathy Woodham Houston, 67, of Newton, Mississippi, departed this life on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Anderson's Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, December 1, 1951 in Newton, Mississippi.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Newton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Robert Rowzee and Dr. David Rives will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

Cathy graduated with degrees from Ole Miss and University School of Nursing and worked 32 years as an oncology nurse. She served four years in the United States Air Force from 1991 through 1995 in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Her service time was at Andrews Air Force Base where she reached the rank of Captain.

She was preceded in death by her father, J. P. Woodham, Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Annie Ruth Woodham; brother, Richard Woodham, Sr. and his fiance' Kay Moore; brother, John Powell Woodham, Jr. (Jimmie); and four nephews.

Pallbearers will be Richie Woodham, Jamie Woodham, Rayphord Bounds, Willie Bounds, Scott Blalock, and Carl Hamm.
