Brenda Elaine Clearman – October 9, 1954
Brenda Elaine Clearman, 70, of Decatur, MS passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her residence in Decatur, MS. She was born Saturday, October 9, 1954, in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home – North, 9998 Hwy. 15 North, Newton, Mississippi. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at from the funeral home chapel. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200
She was born to Carl Durward and Sally Ruth Graham Loper on October 9, 1954, in Odessa, TX. She dedicated 35 years of her life working as a nurse and caring for others. She worked at Riley's, Newton Pioneer Hospital, Rush and Specialty during her career. One of her passions was caring for her animals. She was known to spoil them daily. Brenda, known as "Mimi", loved her grandbabies and playing with them outside. She loved cooking for her family and surprising them with little "happies". No one ever left her house emptied handed. Brenda was a very loving person, always willing to help everyone, and had a giving spirit. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Durward Loper; mother, Sally Ruth Graham Loper; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Adkins; and sister: Felicia Ruth Loper Arthur.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Herman Clearman Jr.; two daughters, Deanna Adkins, Decatur, and Stephanie Ward, Decatur, MS; one son, Carl Adkins (wife Chris), Brandon, MS; six grandchildren, Ryan Hanner, Brooke Hanner, Dawn Hanner, CJ Adkins, Coby Adkins, Cameron Adkins; three great-grandchildren, Braxton Hanner, DellaRose Hanner, Beckett Hanner; and one sister, Gwendolyn (Bob) Burns, Brandon, MS.
In leu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Lauderdale County Animal Shelter or your local humane shelter.
