Bonnie Ree Simmons, 86, of Newton, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her home. She was born Saturday, December 15, 1934, in Chunky, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the church cemetery. Bro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Simmons; parents, Clint and Ludie Mae Gressett; siblings, Ruth Walker, Geneva Murphy, Dennis Gressett, and Billy Gressett; granddaughter, Tasha Simmons.

Survivors include her children, Troy Simmons (Camille) and Torey Simmons (Kenny Fayard); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Inez Simms and Betty Crane (Tom); brothers, Victor Gressett and Larry Gressett (Minnie).

Pallbearers will be nephews, Paul Walker, Jeff Walker, Joey Gressett, Justin Gressett, Jamie Gressett, Wiley Walker, and Ricky Crane.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of her other nephews.
