Services for Mrs. Bobbye Bolton will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton, MS. Burial will follow at the Mississippi Veterans Cemetery with Newton County Funeral Home - North in charge of arrangements. Bro. Steve Pouncy will officiate.

Mrs. Bolton, 84, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 with her husband by her side at their home in Sachse, TX. She was born Friday, June 6, 1930 in Oneida, TN.

Mrs. Bolton and her husband Earl loved traveling and seeing new places, including Thailand and the Philippines. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, and often painted beautiful landscapes. She was also an avid reader. Her faith was important to her, and she was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Mrs. Bolton loved her family, and we will all miss her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Enmon and Josie Marcum Brown, and previous husband, Hershell Thompson.

She is survived by her husband Bassel Earl Bolton, Sachse, TX; daughters Shirley Thompson and Lisa Craft (Perry); sons James and Steven Thompson; step-sons Steve and Andrew Bolton; grandchildren Alexander, Zachary (Saba), and Matthew Craft; step-grandsons Brandon and Tyler Bolton; one niece Dianne Bryant; and her nephews Gary Brown and Michael Sills.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton, MS.
