Funeral services for Bobbie Walton Maske will be 11 A.M. , on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Newton United Methodist Church with Bro. Gary Howse and Bro. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home South.
Mrs. Maske, 81, of Newton, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center North Campus. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved flowers. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Before her late husband's death, she was very active in the Mississippi Army National Guard, and the NCO Association. She was a very dedicated member of her church, Newton United Methodist, where she served faithfully, particularly serving through the holy communion ministry and preparation of it. She was proud of the fact that she read the Bible through four times.
She is survived by: one son: Ricky Eugene Maske, and wife Renee of Newton and one daughter: Sonya Maske McCormick, and husband Steve of Newton; four grandchildren: Seth McCormick, Brian Maske, Cristi Bishop, and Austin Maske; four great-grandchildren: Ethan Bishop, Nicholas Bishop, Laney Bowen, and Levi Bowen; one sister: Patsy Ervin of Petal and one brother: Paul Walton of Baltimore, MD; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband: CSM James E. Maske; parents: Hubert and Bonnie Williamson Walton; one sister: Jo Ruth Bradley and one brother: Jim Walton.
