Obituary

Billy Charles Houston, 85 of Newton, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at MS State Veteran's Home in Kosciusko.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Newton County Funeral Home North Chapel with Bro. Brian Rushing officiating

Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 12 P.M. – 1:45 P.M. before the funeral services at the funeral home.

Newton County Funeral Home North, 9998 Hwy. 15 North, Newton, is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.

He was a native of Neshoba County, living in Newton most of his life. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime employee of Hailey Hardware in Newton. He was also a member of First Baptist Church, where he was active as long as his health permitted.

Survivors Include: two sisters: Bobbie Gardner of Lauderdale and Jeanetta Rigdon of House; one brother: John Steele of Philedelphia ; several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby Johnson Houston; one brother: Clayton Houston; one sister: Frances Williamson; and his parents: Clayton and Ethel Thomas Houston.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Rigdon, J.C. Gardner, Daniel Gardner, Mike Gardner, Anthony Steele, and
Scotty Gibson.


Honorary Pallbearers: Employees of Hailey Hardware and Joe Beeland
