Newton, MS - Services for Beth J Willis will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - South in charge of arrangements. Dr. F. David Rives will officiate.
Mrs. Willis, 85, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 Anderson's Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She was born October 9, 1930 in Walnut Grove, MS.
Mrs. Willis will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, granny and a friend to many. She loved to cook especially fried pork-chops and turnip greens. She was also known for her famous fruitcake.
She is preceded in death by: Parents, Sam L. and Lela Tatum Jones, Brothers: Ray Jones, Jim Jones, Herman Jones, Truman Jones, Larry Jones, and Sister, Cloneil Miley,
She is survived by her Husband of 66 years Robert G. Willis; Sons, David G. Willis (Suzanne) and Robert F. Willis (Kathy); Grandchildren Morgan D. Willis, and Evan A. Willis; Sister Faye Boyd; Sister-in-law Joyce Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, William Jones, James Jones, Tim Jones, Jeff Bounds and Joe Bounds.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South. 601-635-3200
